Technical Sales Manager - Role summary

The Technical Sales Manager is a technically focused sales role who is responsible for bridging commercial growth and deep technical support for the CMP technologies customers in the semiconductor industry. This role requires managing the entire customer lifecycle, from initial product evaluation to long-term account growth.

Major Accountabilities

  • ž Sales & Account growth: Develop and execute account plans to meet revenue and profitability targets within a specific territory or market
  • ž Relationship building: Establish and nurture executive and operational level relationships with key customers to ensure long-term business retention and to penetrate new market segments
  • ž Business development: Identify and develop new customers while expanding product adoption and upselling within existing accounts
  • ž Market & Demand analysis: Provide accurate monthly demand forecasts, analyze territory potential, and relay demand timely through internal system to relevant stakeholders
  • ž Cross-Funtional collaboration: coordinate with internal operations, supply chain, marketing and technical support to ensure customer needs are met
  • ž Market intelligence: Monitor competitor activities and market dynamics, relaying intelligence to Sales leadership
  • ž Customer care: Resolve escalations and customer complaints by investigating problems and developing actionable solutions
  • Skills and Knowledge Required
  • ž Education & Experience: A Bachelor's degree (typically in Engineering, Materials Science or Chemistry) combined with at least 5 years of B2B sales experience in semiconductor manufacturing, specialty chemicals or electronic materials. Candidate without prior sales experience but equipped with Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) knowledge may apply
  • ž Executive presence: Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills to influence key stakeholders across a highly matrixed global organization
  • ž Travel: Ability to travel within the assigned region for customer visits (typically 10-20%)
  • ž Interpersonal skills: Must possess strong interpersonal skills with positive, proactive and can-do attitude
