Job Description

Role Purpose
The Technical Sales Manager acts as a bridge between commercial sales and technical delivery. This role leads technical pre-sales activities, solution design, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical validation with maritime stakeholders, ensuring customer requirements are translated into scalable and practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales & Solution Design

  • Lead technical discovery sessions to understand operational, technical, and regulatory requirements.

  • Design end-to-end digital solutions across areas such as operations, performance, crewing, maintenance, procurement, HSQE, and commercial workflows.

  • Translate customer needs into solution architectures, workflows, and implementation scopes.

Demonstrations & Proof of Value

  • Deliver tailored system demonstrations aligned with customer operations and use cases.

  • Support pilots, proof-of-concepts, and trial deployments.

  • Communicate technical value clearly to both operational users and senior stakeholders.

Sales Enablement

  • Partner with sales and business development teams on complex opportunities.

  • Contribute to proposals, technical documentation, pricing justification, and RFP responses.

  • Identify technical risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations early in the sales cycle.

Integration & Data Strategy

  • Define data migration, integration, and API approaches in collaboration with customer IT teams.

  • Support integrations with ERP, accounting, crewing, technical, and voyage management systems.

  • Work closely with internal product and engineering teams to validate feasibility and alignment.

Product & Market Feedback

  • Gather structured feedback from prospects and customers.

  • Provide market-driven insights to influence product direction and prioritisation.

  • Act as the customer's voice in internal product discussions.
