About fileAI
fileAI is the leading AI-native workflow automation platform and the world's only horizontal file
processing agent, designed to automate complex, unstructured data workflows at scale.
About the role
As the TPM for APIs, you are the bridge between fileAI's core AI capabilities and the developers who
build upon them. You will treat our API as a product-focusing on Developer Experience (DX),
reliability, and scalability. You will work within a cross-functional team, practicing lean product
management to ensure we are building the right things in the right way.
How you'll contribute
. Lean Product Discovery: Conduct continuous user research and test and learn cycles to
validate API features before they are fully built.
. Backlog Management: Own the product backlog using XP principles. You'll write thin,
vertical user stories and collaborate with engineers during IPM (Iteration Planning Meetings)
to ensure clarity and shared context.
. Pairing & Collaboration: Regularly pair with engineers to understand technical constraints
and with designers to ensure our API documentation and onboarding are world-class.
. API Strategy: Define the evolution of our RESTful/GraphQL interfaces, focusing on
versioning, security, and the integration of dynamic AI models.
. Outcome Focus: Move away from output (number of features) and focus on outcomes
(API adoption, developer sentiment, and time-to-first-call).
What you'll bring
. Technically Fluent: You have a deep understanding of API design patterns, authentication
protocols, and the challenges of managing state in distributed systems.
. XP Mindset: You value communication, simplicity, feedback, and courage. You prefer a Miro
board and a conversation over a 50-page PRD.
. Empathetic Lead: You lead through influence, not authority. You are supportive of your
teammates and contribute to our human-friendly culture.
. Adaptable: You are excited by the rapid evolution of the AI ecosystem and view a shift in
market dynamics as an opportunity to learn, not a setback.
Our tech stack
. Environment: Extreme Programming (TDD, Pairing, CI/CD).
. Ecosystem: Large Language Models (LLMs), Vector Databases, and high-frequency data
processing.
. Workflow: Jira, GitHub, Slack, and heavy emphasis on synchronous collaboration.
