Job description

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Job responsibilities
- Manage optical transport infrastructure and capacity delivery within Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
- Manage the delivery of network projects from inception through delivery, while leading cross-functional teams and ensuring stakeholders are aware of project status.
- Engage with external vendors for external network build services. Facilitate review and acceptance of vendor handover documentation.
- Assist planning, design, and acquisition teams in developing infrastructure requirements, priorities, and delivery date expectations.
- Engage with engineering staff to plan root causes and solutions and present the team's analysis, recommendations and approaches to stakeholders and executive management.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program management.
- 2 years of experience in network engineering or a related technical role in the telecommunications or internet industries.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in managing the project deployment of terrestrial or subsea optical network infrastructure, including engineering design and construction.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize, with excellent attention to details and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to solve issues with a data-motivated aptitude approach.
