Live Nation is launching a new, purpose-built mid-size live music venue in Singapore with a capacity of 3,000. Designed to host both international touring acts and local artists, as well as ancillary content such as comedy, community and private hire events. The venue will also feature secondary activation spaces and externally facing public café and bar.
The Technical Production Manager ensures the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of all Back of House activities within the venue. This role oversees technical and operational aspects of event delivery, including venue setup, production services, equipment maintenance, rigging, logistics, crew rostering, and budget management.
It plays a key part in maintaining high standards of venue presentation, coordinating with clients and service providers, and aligning all practices with industry best standards.
Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the position is especially critical during the mobilisation stage, where it establishes operational frameworks, ensures compliance, and sets the foundation for seamless event delivery.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Mobilisation & Planning
- Responsibility for producing CAD plan drawings, seat maps, and venue configuration layouts to support operational readiness and event planning.
- Maintain high standards of venue presentation during setup and commissioning.
- Coordinate closely with clients, contractors, and service providers.
- Establish operational frameworks, compliance trackers, and best‑practice procedures for long‑term efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Manager to integrate technical systems, service contracts, and operational workflows.
Operational & Technical Oversight
- Lead all Back of House operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant practices.
- Oversee venue setup, including Front of House layouts, queuing arrangements, and production services.
- Manage rigging, technical systems, equipment maintenance, storage, logistics, and traffic management.
- Train event crew support and coordinators with technical experience, fostering cross‑functional skills and technical proficiency
- Supervise crew rostering, scheduling, and on‑site coordination.
- Evaluate and adopt new production technologies to enhance efficiency and guest experience
- Oversee temporary and permanent power distribution (show power, distros, tie-ins)
- Coordinate with IT on production networks (show VLANs, streaming, comms)
- Manage comms systems (radios, intercom, show comms)
- Familiarity with professional lighting control systems such as MA Lighting grandMA, and integration within live event production environments
Facilities & Compliance Collaboration
- Partner closely with the Facilities Manager to ensure statutory compliance and operational delivery.
- Align production operations with facilities management service contracts, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Support joint audits, inspections, and reporting to authorities.
Event Delivery & Client Coordination
- Act as the primary technical liaison for clients, event hirers, and service providers, ensuring clear communication and seamless integration of production requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with all venue hirers.
- Coordinate technical delivery to align with client expectations, contractual obligations, and venue standards.
- Uphold high standards of venue presentation across all operational areas.
- Coordinate load-in / show / load-out schedules
- Act as venue authority on feasibility of requests
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage production budgets, cost tracking, and resource allocation.
- Optimize crew deployment and vendor integration for efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
- Provide regular reporting on expenditure, resource use, and operational efficiency.
Compliance, Safety & Governance
- Ensure all statutory and licensing requirements are discharged, conforming to Health & Safety procedures and incorporating new legislation as required.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols, risk assessments, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure appropriate LNE governance processes are implemented, monitored, and embedded into daily operations.
- Continually review, update, and oversee the asset management program, ensuring equipment and infrastructure are maintained to industry standards and operational readiness.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry developments and regulatory changes.
- Develop contingency plans for technical failures, emergencies, or event disruptions to ensure resilience and continuity
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the live events , venue or entertainment industries with proven production technical management expertise.
- Strong knowledge of rigging, technical systems, equipment maintenance, and venue operations.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with Singapore regulatory frameworks and licensing requirement
- Experience in entertainment equipment and systems including staging, lighting, sound, audio‑visual, rigging, show control, SFX,
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Good leadership and crew management skills, with experience in rostering and scheduling and recruitment/training of technical personnel.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance, safety protocols, and industry best practice.
- Proficiency in CAD software and venue layout planning, including seat maps and configuration drawings.
- Relevant Technical certifications in rigging, health & safety, work at height, or production systems.
- Exceptional communication and client liaison skills.
- Good communication skills in English; Chinese language proficiency beneficial
- Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural environments.
- Able to work weekends, after office hours and public holidays.
- Ability to get on call for critical incidents during live events.
- Carry out any other duties that are deemed reasonable and associated with the role.
