Technical Officer

Job Title: Technical Officer (HDB BIT - Building Inspection Team)

Job Description

• Carry out Building Inspection Team (BIT) inspections for HDB projects
• Check and verify architectural finishes and workmanship against approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Inspect completed units and common areas for defects in finishes such as tiling, painting, doors, windows, ceilings, and fittings
• Ensure works comply with HDB quality requirements and relevant Singapore standards
• Identify, record, and report defects or non-compliance issues
• Coordinate with site team and subcontractors for rectification works and follow-up inspections
• Maintain proper inspection records, checklists, and reports
• Assist in ensuring timely completion of inspections in line with project schedule

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 3 years of Singapore construction experience for candidates with Civil Engineering qualification
• Candidates with other qualifications must have minimum 6 years of construction industry experience in Singapore
• Experience in HDB projects and BIT inspections is highly preferred
• Good understanding of architectural works and finishing standards
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Familiar with HDB quality requirements and inspection procedures
• Detail-oriented with strong observation and reporting skills
• Able to work independently and coordinate with multiple stakeholders

Preferred Skills

• Experience in QA/QC or inspection roles
• Knowledge of CONQUAS / quality assessment standards
• Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) for reporting

• Working Hrs Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5:30 pm
