Lead and manage the technical/engineering team to achieve project targets, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Foster open and effective communication with staff, workers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to support smooth project execution.
Review and ensure all technical documentation submitted by subcontractors complies with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and local codes.
Plan and implement daily works in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate and liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and internal stakeholders on all project-related matters.
Collaborate closely with the project management team, including Construction Manager, WHSO ,and QS Manager, to resolve engineering and operational issues and ensure project success in line with client expectations.
Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with technical requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Mentor and develop junior engineers, supporting talent growth and capability building within the organization.
Support tender activities by contributing technical expertise in the preparation and review of design and construction methodologies for building projects, as part of the tender team for new project pursuits.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in architectural/ building / civil structural engineering/ construction management or related
Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong track record in planning and engineering management for large-scale developments.
Demonstrated capability in project leadership, including resource planning, cost control, scheduling, and risk management.
Strong experience in managing master schedules, budgeting, cash flow, and progress claims, with solid commercial awareness.
Hands-on experience in authority submissions and approvals, particularly within Singapore's regulatory environment
Familiar with cross disciplinary coordination, codes of practice, relevant authorities regulations, submission and approval procedures
Competent user of relevant engineering software (Microsoft Project, Power Point, etc.)
Possessed a team spirit, resolving conflicts, being able to interact and work with colleagues, delegating tasks, setting project milestones and liaising with consultants at various levels
Adopt proactive mindset, logical thinking, problem solving, and meticulous in technical planning and attentive in detail
A proponent of lean principles, value engineering and value added mindset to improve efficiency and productivity.
Experience in tender management, including preparation of technical and commercial submissions for overseas and local projects.
Strong coordination skills across multi-disciplinary teams, including consultants, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
Ability to develop and implement construction methodologies, resolve technical issues, and respond effectively to unforeseen site challenges.
