Job Summary

You will lead and supervise ship repair and engine overhaul projects, applying your technical expertise to plan, allocate resources, and communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure safe, timely, and cost-efficient completion of marine repair operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and sequence ship repair and engine overhaul tasks to optimize resource utilization and minimize operational downtime
• Allocate manpower and supervise repair jobs to ensure adherence to safety standards and timely project completion
• Communicate technical issues, repair plans, and cost/time implications clearly to ship superintendents, chief engineers, and technical managers
• Prepare detailed technical reports, root-cause analyses, and repair summaries to document repair outcomes and support continuous improvement
• Estimate job durations and budgets, incorporating commercial considerations to support project planning and cost control
• Manage scope-of-work discussions, variation orders, and post-job documentation to ensure contractual compliance and client satisfaction
• Maintain professional client interactions through clear email communication and progress updates to foster transparency and trust
