As a Technical Lead, you are entrusted with the responsibility to spearhead emerging technology initiatives. Working closely with service groups and other team players, your role is to turn real challenges into practical and user-centered solutions, combining design, technology and data to improve client outcomes and the day-to-day work of our staff.
You are responsible for the build and integration of applications, data pipelines, dashboards, and AI-enabled solutions that align with frontline services and organizational objectives. You will ensure solutions are robust, maintainable, and responsibly deployed, with strong attention to data protection, ethical use of technology, and real-world usability in a social service space.
You are part of the innovation squad, a multidisciplinary team, driving digital and service transformation across frontline services, and shaping next generation tools and experiences for our staffs and the vulnerable communities.
Responsibilities:
Tech Exploration and Strategic Alignment
- Identify where technology, data and AI can meaningfully improve services and address challenges that align with organizational outcomes
- Evaluate technical, data, and integration considerations early in the process
- Explore emerging technologies and recommend responsible and practical applications
- Identify potential risks and ethical or data related considerations
Technical Architecture and Solution Design
- Design secure, scalable, and maintainable solution architectures
- Define and document technical specifications and integration requirements
- Assess vendor tools or platforms for suitability
- Ensure alignment between user experience, technical feasibility and operational practicality
Development, Data Work and Implementation
- Lead development efforts with in-house, vendors or other development teams
- Conduct technical reviews and ensure adherence to performance, security and quality standards
- Oversee functional testing, UAT, and security checks
- Manage deployment and successful integration with internal systems
Data Responsibilities
- Develop workflows that organize, prepare and maintain data for solution use
- Create automated processes to extract, transform, validate and connect data from various resources
- Build dashboards and visualizations that help teams glean insights and monitor outcomes
Delivery, Maintenance and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor solution stability, performance and adoption post launch
- Troubleshoot issues and implement iterative improvements based on feedback
- Maintain technical documentation for continuity and knowledge transfer
- Ensure long term sustainability through proper updates, version control
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or related technical discipline
- At least 5 years in technology roles that involves solution design, digital products, data-enabled work and/or AI related projects
- Familiarity working with APIs, cloud platforms and modern solution stacks
- Ability to work in data preparation, transformation and creating dashboards or analytical views is preferred
- Confident communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive learner with strong interest in new technologies, data tools and AI applications
