BJAK is building AI-powered automation systems for insurance operations across Southeast Asia — from quote generation and policy issuance to claims processing, endorsements, document collection and insurer integrations.
We are looking for a Technical Lead who can build scalable systems, drive engineering execution and solve operational complexity through automation. This is a hands-on role with strong ownership and high impact across regional systems.
The Mission
Lead the development of scalable AI and workflow automation systems across multi-country insurance operations.
What You'll Own
- Lead technical design and engineering execution for automation and workflow systems.
- Build scalable backend services, integrations and APIs supporting core insurance workflows.
- Partner closely with product, operations and engineering stakeholders to drive automation initiatives.
- Guide backend, frontend, QA and DevOps delivery quality.
- Improve system reliability, observability and operational scalability.
- Review architecture decisions and implementation quality across projects.
What We're Looking For
- Strong engineering background building scalable production systems.
- Experience leading technical delivery across backend or platform systems.
- Strong understanding of APIs, databases, distributed systems and workflow orchestration.
- Able to balance execution speed with long-term engineering quality.
