Confirm compliance with IMO, classification society (Class NK) and inspections stipulated by the Japanese government (JG) and comply with technical standards.
Sufficient skills and experience required in ship-related operations, with operational efficiency and troubleshooting skills.
Degree in mechanical and electrical engineering, able to respond quickly and accurately to mechanical and electrical problems when they occur.
Ship design drawings and technical specifications can be checked.
Maintain appropriate technical drawings, specifications and reports.
Identifying and resolving problems occurring in the field and proposing improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
Facilitate coordination with relevant parties (shipyards, classification society, manufacturers, etc.) to ensure smooth operations.
Thorough control and rapid response in spare parts stock management, repairs and maintenance.
Positive personality, always willing to communicate and cooperate with shipyard personnel and ship's crew, and able to identify root causes and suggest appropriate countermeasures in resolving problems.
Excellent writing and high communication skills.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of engineering experience with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a recognised degree in the relevant field, subject to the acceptance of the engineer.
Minimum 1 year of engineering experience in civil construction project site.
Proven track record in the construction of:
Experience in large-scale civil construction project sites over SGD 500Mil.
Caisson manufacturing work
Construction using a large floating crane (SWL 3,000t or more)
Good knowledge of marine engineering and structural mechanics.
Good knowledge of Class NK and Japanese Government ship surveys.
Experience in planning, maintenance, and management for a working vessel.
Well-versed in ship maintenance requirements.
Good written and interpersonal skills.
Positive working attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Positive troubleshooting/finding root cause with the ship's crew on board.
