Role Summary

A Technical Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of a company, including engineering, product development, IT infrastructure, and technology strategy. This role ensures that technology initiatives align with business goals, drive innovation, and maintain operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities1. Technology Strategy & Leadership
  • Define and execute the company's technology strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide vision and guidance for technical teams, including software development, IT, and engineering.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption to drive innovation.
2. Team Management & Development
  • Lead and mentor technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and performance management of technical staff.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
3. Project Oversight
  • Oversee complex technical projects from concept to deployment.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Establish technical standards, best practices, and processes.
4. Infrastructure & Systems Management
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Oversee system architecture, software platforms, and technology integrations.
  • Manage risk, compliance, and technology governance.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Collaborate with executives, product managers, and business leaders to align technology initiatives with company goals.
  • Communicate technical strategies and updates to stakeholders.
  • Represent the technical perspective in strategic planning and decision-making.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in technology leadership roles, such as CTO, Head of Engineering, or Senior Technical Manager.
  • Strong knowledge of software development, IT infrastructure, and emerging technologies.
  • Experience in strategic planning, project management, and team leadership.
