Technical Director - Data Centre (Singapore)
Basic Salary from $15,000 - $18,000

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Director (Data Centre) to lead the growth and delivery of data centre projects across Singapore and Southeast Asia.
This role provides technical leadership, governance, and end-to-end delivery oversight for complex data centre developments, including feasibility studies, site selection, design, commissioning, and operational readiness.
You will act as the key technical authority and client lead, ensuring successful project delivery while driving innovation, business growth, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Delivery & Client Leadership
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data centre projects (feasibility, design, construction support, commissioning)
- Act as primary technical and client interface
- Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality across multi-disciplinary teams
2. Technical Excellence & Innovation
- Oversee MEP design, power and cooling strategies, and resilient data centre solutions
- Drive innovation in liquid cooling, energy efficiency, and AI-ready infrastructure
- Promote BIM, digital delivery, and modular/DFMA approaches
3. Business Development & Market Growth
- Develop and grow data centre client accounts (hyperscalers, colocation, developers, REITs)
- Support proposals, RFPs, and client presentations
- Identify market trends and support advisory services and new opportunities
4. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams
- Build a strong culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration
- Support succession planning and capability development
5. Financial & Project Governance
- Manage project budgets, resources, and performance KPIs
- Ensure strong governance, QA/QC, and risk management
- Drive continuous improvement and lessons learned across projects
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Strong experience in data centre / mission-critical design and delivery
- Deep knowledge of MEP systems, power, cooling, and commissioning
- Proven client-facing and business development experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Professional registration (PE / CEng or equivalent preferred)
- Experience in modular design, sustainability, and advanced cooling technologies is an advantage
