Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership
- Develop and maintain technical standards, specifications, and best practices for construction projects
- Provide expert technical guidance to project teams, engineers, and site managers
- Review and approve technical submissions, method statements, and shop drawings
Design & Engineering Oversight
- Liaise with consultants, architects, and engineers to resolve technical issues
- Review design proposals for constructability, cost efficiency, and buildability
- Manage value engineering and technical risk assessments
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes
- Lead internal technical audits and inspections
Project Support
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems during construction
- Support tendering by reviewing technical proposals and construction methods
- Provide technical input for claims, variations, and disputes
Innovation & Improvement
- Drive the adoption of new construction technologies, materials, and methods
- Develop continuous improvement initiatives and technical training programs
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in construction or engineering
- Proven experience in senior technical or leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, and safety standards
