Job Description

  • Oversee the technical design and execution of conveyance projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide strategic direction and technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage project lifecycles from feasibility studies to commissioning and handover.
  • Develop innovative solutions for water conveyance systems, addressing challenges such as hydraulic design, environmental impact, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure the integration of sustainable practices and technologies into project designs.
  • Liaise with clients, government agencies, and community stakeholders to align project goals with broader objectives.
  • Present technical findings and project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications

. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).

. Minimum 15 years of experience in water conveyance projects, including pipelines, tunnels, and canals.

. Proven track record of leading large-scale infrastructure projects.

. Proficiency in hydraulic modeling, structural analysis, and conveyance system design.

. Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD, GIS, HEC-RAS, and other relevant tools.

. Knowledge of sustainability practices and emerging technologies in conveyance systems.

. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.

. Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage stakeholders effectively.

. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification.

. PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

. Ability to manage complex projects with competing priorities.

. Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement and team collaboration.

. Commitment to sustainability and innovation in infrastructure development.
