Role Overview
PureSoftware is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in Life Insurance domain and hands-on experience with the LifeAsia policy administration system. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams, driving digital transformation and system implementation initiatives across the Asia Pacific region, with a primary focus on Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across Life Insurance operations in the Singapore/APAC region.
Work closely with functional and technical teams on LifeAsia (IFAS) implementations, upgrades, and customizations.
Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases.
Conduct gap analysis between current business processes and LifeAsia system capabilities.
Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and architects to ensure solutions align with business needs.
Lead and facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
Support end-to-end testing cycles including SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
Manage traceability matrices and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Liaise with insurance regulators and ensure compliance with MAS guidelines and local regulatory requirements.
Support data migration activities and validate data integrity during system transitions.
Drive process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for automation and digitization.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Life Insurance products including Individual Life, Group Life, Annuities, and Health.
Required Experience
710 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Life Insurance domain.
Hands-on functional experience with LifeAsia (IFAS) policy administration system is mandatory.
Strong Understanding Of Life Insurance Products And Processes
- Policy issuance, underwriting, and endorsements
- Claims processing and settlements
- Reinsurance and actuarial concepts
- Renewal, lapse, and surrender processing
- Commission management and agent operations
Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, and MS Office Suite.
Experience in Agile/Scrum as well as Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and IT.
