Technical Business Analyst, AI Initiatives (1-year Contract)

We are seeking a dynamic early-mid career professional to deliver initiatives that will strengthen the AI capabilities of Singapore's financial sector and our workforce.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to deliver complex financial application projects that will strengthen Singapore's digital assets capabilities and financial sector innovation. Working within our Financial Infrastructure and Artificial Intelligence Office (FIA), you'll be instrumental in bridging the gap between business requirements and technical implementation whilst advancing Singapore's financial infrastructure for the future. [What you will be working on]

• Lead business analysis for complex financial application projects with public-facing infrastructure and enterprise-grade security requirements in the digital assets space

• Create comprehensive technical flow diagrams, swimlane diagrams, and business process flow diagrams to support our initiatives

• Manage the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualisation to end-of-life, utilising Agile methodologies and fostering synergy between cross-functional teams

• Collaborate with stakeholders including financial institutions, technology leaders, and development teams to define product vision, prioritise features, and create roadmaps that align with user needs and business objectives

• Support project management activities to complement Project Managers in delivering mission-critical financial applications

• Conduct thorough analysis of technical flows and system integrations for financial services applications including digital assets platforms

• Work closely with development teams on deployment strategies, CI/CD pipeline implementation, and DevSecOps practices

• Identify, analyse, and coordinate resolution of security vulnerabilities and technical issues in the applications

• Collaborate with penetration testers and security teams to ensure robust security posture for public-facing financial systems

• Assess emerging technologies and regulatory landscapes to inform strategic decisions and ensure compliance in product development

• Manage project documentation, test case creation, and coordinate SIT/UAT testing activities

• Facilitate stakeholder communication and manage requirements throughout the complete SDLC lifecycle

[What we are looking for]

• At least 5 yearsof experience as a Technical Business Analyst with hands-on experience in complex financial application projects

• Proven track record of successfully bringing complex projects live into production environments for financial institutions

• Proven track record of working on public-facing infrastructure projects with strong security requirements in financial services

• Strong business acumen with the ability to conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and develop compelling business cases

• Expertise in product management, including go-to-market strategies, lifecycle management, and Agile development methodologies

• Expert proficiency in creating technical flow diagrams, swimlane diagrams, business process flow diagrams, and system architecture documentation

• Comprehensive understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment phases

• Strong understanding of security vulnerabilities, threat assessment, and experience in coordinating vulnerability resolution

• Prior experience collaborating with penetration testers and security assessment teams

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value propositions

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, clients, and cross-functional teams

• Proficiency with project management tools including JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation

• Extensive experience in crafting detailed test cases and coordinating SIT/UAT testing activities

• Strong technical documentation skills with ability to create comprehensive system specifications and user guides

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholder relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree inBusiness Analysis, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field

• Previous experience in financial technology, banking, insurance, or regulated industries

• Previous experience in digital assets or distributed ledger technology projects within financial institutions is a plus

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation technologies is a plus

• Experience with automated testing frameworks and quality assurance processes

• Familiarity with API design, microservices architecture, and system integration patterns

• Experience in payments, capital markets, or banking sectors
