Technical Architect / Lead Developer

Overview

We're looking for a Technical Architect / Lead Developer to join a high-performing technology team supporting mission-critical regulatory and transaction processing platforms across the region.

This role sits within a large-scale enterprise environment and offers the opportunity to work on complex, business-critical payment systems that support regulatory compliance, transaction processing, and strategic technology initiatives. The team is looking for a technically strong individual who can drive solution design, provide technical leadership, and work closely with both business and engineering stakeholders.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced Lead Developers, Technical Leads, or Senior Engineers who have progressed beyond pure development and are looking to expand their impact across architecture, delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

What You'll Do

• Drive technical design and architecture discussions across multiple projects
•  Define and influence solution architecture and development best practices
• Review and provide guidance on application design and implementation approaches
• Partner with engineering teams to ensure high-quality technical delivery
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Mentor and guide developers across the software development lifecycle
• Support regulatory, compliance, and transaction-processing technology initiatives
• Ensure applications are designed with performance, scalability, and maintainability in mind
• Work closely with regional and offshore teams responsible for detailed development and implementation
• Contribute to technical governance, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives

Must‑Have Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Java 17, Spring Boot, and Angular
• Proven experience contributing to solution design, architecture discussions, and technical governance
• Strong understanding of enterprise application architecture, software design principles, and development best practices
•  Experience reviewing technical designs, guiding development teams, and providing technical leadership
•  Banking, financial services, or other highly regulated industry experience
• Exposure to Regulatory Reporting, AML (Anti-Money Laundering), Transaction Monitoring, Compliance, or Financial Crime technology initiatives
•  Experience working on transaction processing, payments, cross-border payments, or SWIFT-related platforms
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical decisions and engage senior stakeholders
•  Experience mentoring engineers, leading small technical teams, or driving technical workstreams
