We are recruiting for a subject matter expert in medical device packaging to lead a technical team and work with their customers to provide deep expertise in sterile packaging in order to support new sales growth and customer retention.
Commercial & Customer Engagement
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to strengthen the brand through conferences, webinars, events, and white papers.
- Provide expertise in sterile barrier systems, supporting sales growth, customer retention, and technical selling.
- Travel globally to support sales activities, customer trials, troubleshooting, and regional Technical Centers.
- Collaborate with customers on packaging solutions, new product introductions, and validations.
- Build and maintain networks with industry partners and nurture key accounts, including expansion in India.
Product Development & Engineering
- Assess portfolio, identify opportunities, and lead new product development projects.
- Support process engineering and operations in design transfer, validations (ISO 11607), and manufacturing transitions.
- Drive improvements in packaging design, process capability, and product performance through rigorous testing and DFMEA.
- Ensure accurate engineering documentation, specifications, and work instructions.
- Lead cross-functional projects to enhance product capabilities and customer satisfaction.
Quality & Safety
- Design products to Six Sigma standards; identify and eliminate quality risks.
- Respond to customer complaints via structured CAPA; analyze warranty data to improve designs.
- Support QA in technical assessments and Operations with customer-focused insights.
- Partner with EHS to ensure proper labeling, SDS documentation, and safe lab/testing procedures.
Training & Internal Support
- Train sales teams on applications, materials, sterilization modes, and design tools.
- Support operations, QA, and cross-functional teams with technical insights to strengthen organizational capability.
- Manage product change notifications and communicate effectively with customers.
Requirements
- Background in Packaging, Engineering, Printing Technology or closely related field
- Knowledge of sterile and flexible packaging design and performance
- Knowledge and experience within the Medical Device industry including ISO 13485 and ISO 11607 standards
- Strong consulting skills with deep knowledge of flexible packaging converting processes
- Traveling across APAC: 60%
