Technical Application Manager (Proteins)

Description

Our client is an international ingredients company expanding its presence across Asia Pacific. Due to continued growth and investment in its plant-based ingredient portfolio, it is seeking a Technical Application Manager based in Singapore to support customer innovation and technical application development.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of APAC and Global Technical Lead, you will partner closely with customers R&D teams to develop and optimise food applications using plant-based protein and fibre ingredients. You will provide technical guidance on ingredient functionality, formulation and process optimisation, while supporting ingredient substitution and recipe development across dairy, meat, bakery and other food applications. You will conduct product demonstrations, deliver technical presentations, collaborate with commercial teams and regional distributors, and travel across Asia Pacific to support customer projects and strengthen technical relationships.

Requirements

You possess a Degree in Food Science and Technology or a related discipline, with at least 6 years of experience in food applications, product development or technical support within the food ingredients industry. You have strong knowledge of proteins, fibres and ingredient functionality, coupled with hands-on formulation and laboratory experience. Candidates from industry are preferred, although applicants from research institutes or academia with proven customer engagement and commercial awareness are also encouraged to apply. Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential. Regional travelling is required.
