This role will provide the candidate an opportunity to lead a team and define standards for the management of business to technical requirements across a portfolio of global IT applications within Commercial Risk Solutions as part of a cross-functional Agile product delivery structure. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Hire and lead a team of global Technical Analysts to take in business requirements from stakeholders and perform analysis for delivery within Agile Scrum teams.
- Define Technical Analysis standards in the form of tools, templates, stencils, and best-in-class examples of documentation for the capture of system requirements and config.
- Establish common ways of working and general culture of collaboration to instil strong ownership and pride in the team.
- Key contributor in triaging new programme-level business requirements and assigning work for technical analysis, planning and delivery.
- Partner with other leads across Product, Architecture, Business, Testing and Change Management on program scoping, analysis, delivery planning, execution and rollout.
- Work collaboratively with Product leads to oversee Agile backlog health, ensuring user stories satisfy a consistent Definition of Ready across all Agile delivery teams.
- Pay particular attention to knowledge management and ensuring key technical documentation on our products is stored and maintained on an ongoing basis.
- Key liaison with 3rdparty system vendors, external delivery partners, user acceptance testing and training teams to ensure successful business adoption and support.
- Support any data migration activity and system release activities to ensure business continuity.
- Become the voice of our global Technical Analyst teams, supporting the program with resourcing decisions and quality management standards.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- 10+ years experience as a Business /Technical Analyst with at least 3 years in a lead role, on large-scale financial services projects, preferably in insurance claims domain.
- Exercises curiosity and active listening to understand and capture as-is processes with diligence and precision.
- Experienced in producing a range of Business Analysis outputs including, but not limited to, business process swim-lane diagrams, use case diagrams, traceability matrices, decision trees, configuration and rule sets, user journey maps and wireframes.
- Expert in various documentation tools e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Visio, setting up knowledge management repositories for success.
- Strong understanding of IT system configuration, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and business analysis methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Advanced business analysis skills and analytical skills and the ability to understand and explain complex ideas in simple terms.
- Strong authoring incl. both business and technical writing, and document review skills.
- Self-motivated and able to lead by example or mobilise others to deliver successfully.
- Exercise Interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with business and technical subject matter experts.
- Ability to see the big picture but equally drill down to low-level detail when required.
- Effective at negotiation, influencingand conflict resolution.

- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP) is desirable.
