The Technical & Software Development Executive is a dual-function role combining technical sales support with software product management. The role supports the regional sales team through application expertise, proposal development, and order coordination -while also managing AVR and online monitoring software updates from Huaming's headquarters in China and supporting customer-facing deployment and training activities.
Given the close working relationship with Huaming HQ, professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken) is mandatory.

Part A - Technical Support
Pre-sales consultation, proposal development, order verification, and HQ coordination.
. Advise the regional sales team on product selection and application suitability across Huaming's OLTC, AVR, and monitoring portfolio.
. Analyse customer requirements and technical specifications to recommend the appropriate product models and configurations.
. Engage OEMs, EPCs, consultants, and end-users in technical discussions to define application parameters and propose suitable solutions.
. Support preparation of technical submittals, data sheets, and application notes for RFQs and tenders.
. Collaborate with the Proposal Manager and Account Managers to develop accurate, technically sound, and competitive proposals.
. Support the Proposal Manager and Account Managers on techno-commercial clarification processes, coordinating inputs from engineering and commercial teams to address customer queries promptly.
. Review incoming Purchase Orders before booking in Kindee ERP, verifying that all technical and commercial parameters - specifications, quantities, delivery terms, warranty, and payment conditions - are complete and consistent with the agreed proposal.
. Resolve PO discrepancies with customers, Account Managers, and the Proposals team prior to order confirmation.
. Maintain traceable documentation for all reviewed POs and coordinate timely booking with the order management team.
. Act as the regional liaison to Huaming HQ functions -engineering, manufacturing, quality, and logistics - communicating in Mandarin Chinese as required.
. Facilitate resolution of technical deviations, product customisation requests, delivery issues, and non-conformances.
. Track open action items across departments, ensuring timely closure of customer-impacting issues.
. Maintain pipeline and issue records in Neocrm and Kindee.
. Support Account Managers in responding to customer queries on OLTC, AVR, and monitoring system installation, operation, and troubleshooting.
. Support Account Managers on site visits, factory acceptance tests, and commissioning activities as needed.
Part B - Software Development Management
Managing AVR and online monitoring software updates from HQ supporting regional deployment, training, and customer feedback.
. Serve as the regional contact for all AVR and online monitoring software releases from Huaming HQ, including firmware updates, application patches, and upgrades.
. Validate update packages and coordinate structured rollout to regional customers, managing version compatibility and installation sequencing.
. Maintain a version registry for all installed systems across the regional customer base.
. Liaise with HQ software engineers and product managers in Mandarin Chinese to clarify releases, report field observations, and communicate regional requirements.
. Support localisation of software interfaces, user manuals, and documentation for regional markets.
. Test localised software versions to validate functionality and compliance with customer specifications before deployment.
. Relay region-specific integration requirements and regulatory considerations to the HQ product team.
. Conduct product demonstrations for AVR and monitoring solutions, showcasing dashboards, alarm management, trend analysis, and reporting features.
. Deliver customer training on software operation, configuration, and administration.
. Prepare demonstration environments and training materials to support pre-sales and post-sales engagement.
. Provide first-line software support, diagnosing issues related to connectivity, configuration, data acquisition, and display.
. Document and escalate software defects to the HQ development team with sufficient detail for effective resolution.
. Capture customer feedback and feature requests systematically, feeding them into HQ product reviews.
. Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Software Development.
. Candidates with a combined background spanning power systems and software/computing disciplines are strongly preferred.
. 4-6 years of relevant experience in technical support, application engineering, or software product management within the power equipment, industrial automation, or energy technology sector. Candidates with fewer years of experience but who can demonstrate relevant exposure in a similar industry will be considered.
. Demonstrated experience managing software update cycles and supporting customer-facing software deployments.
. Prior exposure to transformer, OLTC, or AVR systems is a strong advantage.
. English: Professional proficiency in written and spoken English - mandatory.
. Mandarin Chinese (Putonghua): Professional proficiency inwritten and spoken Mandarin - mandatory, for regular communication with Huaming HQ across engineering, production, and software teams.
. Working knowledge of power transformer systems, OLTC applications, and AVR functionality.
. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, IEC 61850, DNP3) as applied in monitoring and SCADA systems.
. Understanding of embedded software concepts, firmware update procedures, and monitoring system architectures (data acquisition, edge processing, cloud dashboards).
. Neocrm: Working proficiency required for opportunity tracking, customer records, and pipeline management.
. Kindee ERP: Working proficiency required for PO verification, order booking, and production status tracking.
. Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint): Strong proficiency required.
. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage concurrent technical and commercial workstreams.
. Strong cross-functional collaborator, comfortable working across sales, engineering, and software teams in a matrix organisation.
. Customer-facing confidence with the ability to present technical content clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
. Self-driven and proactive in a fast-paced, international business environment.
