Job Description

Role Purpose

The ORA Team Lead is responsible for driving Operations Readiness & Assurance (ORA) activities for Floating Production Unit (FPU) projects. This role ensures that all systems, processes, and personnel are fully prepared for safe, efficient, and compliant operations from project execution through start-up.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Coordination

  • Lead the ORA team and manage readiness activities across engineering, commissioning, and operations.
  • Act as the focal point for ORA within the project team and liaise with stakeholders including contractors and operations teams.

Operations Readiness Planning

  • Develop and implement ORA plans, checklists, and assurance processes for FPU projects.
  • Ensure operational requirements are embedded in design and execution phases.

Risk Management

  • Identify operational risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct readiness reviews and audits to verify compliance with safety and operational standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, production, and QHSE teams to align readiness objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to project leadership and clients.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Oversee readiness documentation, regulatory compliance, and handover protocols.
  • Ensure all operational procedures and manuals are complete and validated before start-up.

Mobilization & Support

  • Support offshore commissioning and start-up activities as required.
  • Facilitate training and competency assurance for operations personnel.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years in offshore oil & gas projects, with at least 5 years in ORA or commissioning/start-up roles.
  • Familiarity with FPU systems, ORA frameworks, and international safety standards.
  • Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and coordinate across functions.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Certifications

  • OPITO-approved offshore safety training.
  • Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
  • ORA or Commissioning-specific training.
