Job Description

Join a dynamic team where you will lead the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, ensuring excellence in operational performance and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers, providing support for programming, tooling, process routing, and secondary processes such as honing, blasting, coating, and torque-up. Drive continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency. Monitor production metrics to achieve monthly efficiency and utilization targets for both machinists and machines. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for non-conformance issues and implement effective engineering solutions. Investigate and introduce new manufacturing techniques, tooling, and technologies to expand operational capabilities. Oversee Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects aimed at equipment and capability enhancements. Collaborate with tooling suppliers to address tooling-related challenges. Lead First Article (FA) qualification activities to ensure adherence to customer quality standards. Ensure CNC programs and process routings are delivered on time to meet production schedules. Support sales teams by providing feasible technical solutions and capability assessments. Develop thorough subcontracting scopes with detailed drawings according to in-house machining capabilities. Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM). Actively participate in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) programs, including hazard identification and risk assessments. Maintain and update 2D CAD plant layouts as necessary. Perform additional related tasks as assigned, including technical reporting and item code creation.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector. Extensive knowledge and experience in precision machining. Practical experience in advanced multi-axis machining and secondary operations such as coating and torque-up. Proficient in creating manufacturing routings using ERP systems. Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and specifications. Proficient in CAD software (2D/3D), such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Experience with CAD/CAM software, such as Mastercam or similar. Knowledgeable in tooling selection and jig/fixture design. Strong understanding of manufacturing capabilities and product requirements. Familiarity with ERP systems is essential. Relevant experience in machining products and their applications. Hands-on experience in manufacturing is advantageous.
