We are seeking a hands-on ITAD Team Lead to oversee outdoor field operations for IT asset disposal (ITAD) projects. This role combines technical execution, team supervision, and on-site client coordination.
You will lead technicians during collection, decommissioning, data destruction, and asset processing while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory and client security requirements.
This is a senior field-based position suited for someone who can take charge, manage operational matters independently, and uphold professional standards when handling regulated clients.
Key Responsibilities
Field Operations & Technical Execution
- Lead on-site IT asset collection, decommissioning, and segregation
- Perform data destruction (logical wiping, degaussing, physical destruction)
- Dismantle servers, network equipment, PCs, and storage systems
- Ensure accurate tagging, inventory recording, and chain-of-custody control
- Supervise loading/unloading of equipment
Team Leadership
- Lead and supervise outdoor technicians
- Allocate and planning daily tasks and manage manpower on-site
- Train junior staff on proper ITAD procedures and safety protocols
- Ensure discipline, productivity, and adherence to SOPs
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with client security requirements and regulatory standards
- Oversee proper documentation for Certificates of Disposal / Destruction
- Maintain clear asset tracking and reporting accuracy
- Conduct site risk assessments when required
Client Interaction
- Act as site lead when dealing with customers
- Handle client queries professionally during projects
- Represent the company with professionalism and accountability
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years experience in ITAD, IT hardware handling, or related field operations
- Strong understanding of IT components (servers, storage, RAM, HDD/SSD, networking equipment)
- Experience handling regulated or security-sensitive clients is an advantage
- Leadership experience managing a small team preferred
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently
