Team Lead - AI (Marine)

Purpose of Role:

- To build up AI capabilities within Marine, such that Marine has its own team to perform and lead AI related projects, collaborate with other group functions pertaining to AI related developments

- To collaborate with other verticals pertaining to Marine's Transformation, such as Digitalization, Yard Transformation, Continuous Improvement and Technology & Innovation

Responsibilities:

· Team Management: To lead, manage and oversee a team of AI Engineers. Guiding them on technical knowledge, project management and execution, problem solving and establishing communications between internal and external stakeholders

· Project Management: Work and engage relevant stakeholders in managing and seeing through projects from start till end

· AI Model Development: Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.

· System Maintenance: Monitor and maintain AI systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.

· Data Management: Collect, pre-process, and analyze large datasets to train and validate AI models.

· Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholder, to integrate AI solutions into existing systems.

· Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and implement best practices to enhance our AI capabilities.

Education, Qualifications and Special Training

• Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java. Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn. Proficiency in Visualization Software (E.g. Microsoft Power BI) will be advantageous
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience: Prior experience in AI/ML projects

• 5 days work week
