What you do
Team Head, Asset Services, Portfolio Operations (Vice President)
We are seeking a team member to join our Asset Services function. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing and managing the Portfolio Operations (including securities transfers) operations supporting Bank of Singapore and OCBC Clients. This leadership position involves ensuring the efficient and accurate transfer of securities in compliance with relevant regulation and industry standards.
You will work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to streamline processes, manage risk and optimize service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning, Leadership and Team Management
- Contribute to the development of the target operating model for the department and team
- Align team goals with organization strategic objectives, ensuring the team support business growth
- Lead and mentor, providing guidance, support and developmental opportunities
- Develop and implement training to improve team skills, knowledge and efficiency
- Foster a positive and high-performance culture
Securities Transfers Operations
- Oversee daily securities transfer process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of the transfers across all securitized products
- Implement best practices handling securities transfers, ensuring adherence to industry regulation and group policies
Risk and Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and industry standards
- Proactively identify and mitigate operational risks and implement corrective actions where necessary
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure proper controls are in place
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the key point of contact for Front Office, ensuring high level of internal client satisfaction and responsiveness
- Develop and maintain strong working relationship with Front Office, addressing their needs and concerns
- Work with Front Office to streamline transfer processes, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions
Process Improvement and Technology
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the team
- Stay informed of new trends, technologies and regulatory changes in the transfer space and incorporate relevant updates into the team's operations
- Collaborate with Technology to provide requirements and implement system enhancements that improve the transfer workflow
Reporting and Performance Metrics
- Monitor and report on the performance of the team, identifying areas for improvement
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management where required
- Develop key performance indicators for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Who you are
- A degree in a relevant field, such as finance or business administration
- At least 10 years of experience in operations or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
