About the Course
Vertical Institute's UX Course provides learners with core principles and practical skills in user experience design, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. The course prepares learners to create intuitive, user-centered designs while staying current with industry trends.
Classes are delivered during weekday evenings or weekends, led by an experienced instructor with the support of a teaching assistant.
Role Overview
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support the lead instructor in delivering engaging and practical sessions. You'll help learners through exercises and projects, offer guidance on UX tools and methodologies, and provide ongoing support to enhance learner success.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with facilitation during live Zoom classes
- Support learners in practical exercises covering: User research techniques, Wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD) and Usability testing methodologies
- Provide timely assistance via Telegram community and e-learning platform, answering questions and troubleshooting issues
- Accurately record attendance in accordance with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) requirements
- Communicate learner feedback to help improve course content and delivery
Qualifications and Skills
- Solid understanding of UX design principles and tools (experience with wireframing/prototyping software preferred)
- Ability to clearly explain UX concepts to beginners
- Comfortable with virtual teaching platforms such as Zoom, with a reliable home setup (camera, mic, internet)
- Previous experience in teaching, mentoring, or supporting learners is advantageous
