Job description
My client is a well‑established premium education provider in Singapore, trusted by parents for academic excellence and holistic student development, helping them build strong academic foundations, critical thinking skills, and confidence in learning.
They are seeking passionate, articulate, and results‑driven educators to teach Secondary School (Lower & Upper Secondary) and/or Junior College students in one or more of the following subjects:
- English
- Mathematics (E‑Math / A‑Math / H1 / H2)
- Chemistry (Secondary / H1 / H2)
- Physics (Secondary / H1 / H2)
- Biology (Secondary / H1 / H2)
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Instruction
- Conduct engaging and effective lessons for Secondary and/or JC students
- Teach according to the MOE syllabus and examination requirements
- Prepare students for O‑Level and/or A‑Level examinations
- Deliver lessons using clear explanations, structured frameworks, and exam‑oriented strategies
Lesson Preparation & Assessment
- Design lesson materials, worksheets, and assessments aligned with learning objectives
- Mark assignments and provide constructive, actionable feedback
- Track student progress and address learning gaps proactively
Student Engagement & Mentorship
- Motivate and inspire students with varied learning abilities
- Build strong rapport with students and parents
- Support students academic confidence and examination readiness
Professional Collaboration
- Participate in curriculum development and team discussions
- Share best practices with fellow teachers
- Attend internal training and professional development sessions
Requirements
Academic & Professional Background
- Strong academic qualifications in the relevant subject(s)
- Degree or postgraduate qualification preferred
- Familiarity with the Singapore MOE Secondary / JC syllabus is a big plus
- MOE‑trained teachers are welcome, but not mandatory
Teaching Experience
- Prior experience teaching Secondary and/or JC students is good to have
- Tuition centre, private school, or MOE school experience is advantageous
- Fresh graduates with outstanding academic records and strong teaching aptitude may be considered
