Teacher (LOCUM) - Northeast

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide early childhood education for children with developmental delays or special needs

• Develop and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs)

• Plan engaging lessons to support language, motor and learning development

• Work closely with therapists and multidisciplinary teams

• Create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment

• Monitor children's progress and adjust teaching strategies

• Partner with parents to support children's development

• Maintain accurate student records and reports

• Participate in team meetings and professional development

• Support children's social, emotional and behavioural growth

Requirements:

• Possess Diploma in Early Childhood and/or Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention-Special Needs (ADESN)

• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in the preschool environment or working with special needs children

• Proficient in PECS, positive reinforcement and behavioral management strategies and other early intervention teaching methodology is referred

• Proficient in crafting and planning of IEP

• Good empathy, tolerance and temperament towards children is a must

• Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills

• Able to work well independently as well as within a team
