Job Description
The duties and responsibilities of a Teacher shall include the following but not limited to:
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons for H2 Art for either the JC1 or JC2 level
- Tailor and apply pedagogy that may attend to different learnings of the students
- Evaluate and provide feedback on students performance via assignments and assessments
- Monitor students social development through counselling and working with parents
- Work with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. parents) to ensure meeting the pastoral and cognitive needs of the students
- In-charge of at least one co-curricular activity and/or committee
- Participate in departmental meetings, parents teacher meetings and any other school-wide training events
- Any other duties assigned by the School
Job Requirements
- A good undergraduate degree in the relevant discipline
- A Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is required with at least 3 years of experience teaching H2 Art
- Proficiency in the use of education technology or data analytics will be an advantage
- Comfortable with classroom and student management
- Passion to teach the age group of students from 13 to 18 years old
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good team player
- This is a 2-year contract (renewable) - for direct applicants, not seconded applicants
