Established since 2005, CMA International is a global leader in mental arithmetic with over 20 centres in Singapore and presence in multiple countries. We specialize in two-hand abacus mental arithmetic to help children develop their mental potential through a proven teaching system.

Job Summary

You will teach CMA's abacus-mental arithmetic programme to children, manage classrooms, prepare development portfolios, engage parents on progress, support centre operations, and assist in events and external projects.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver CMA's specially designed abacus-mental arithmetic programme to children to enhance their mental skills
  • Coach children using fun, stimulating, and engaging teaching methods to maintain their interest and participation
  • Manage all aspects of classroom operations to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
  • Prepare and maintain development portfolios for each child to track their progress and learning outcomes
  • Communicate effectively with parents to update them on their child's progress and address concerns
  • Assist in planning and organising student events to enrich the learning experience
  • Support external projects such as roadshows and activities at childcare centres and kindergartens to promote CMA programmes
  • Contribute to daily centre operations to ensure smooth functioning and support team goals

Required competencies and certifications

  • Diploma holder in any discipline
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin with children and parents
  • Availability to work weekday evenings and Saturdays

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Prior teaching experience or knowledge of abacus/mental arithmetic (preferred but not required as training will be provided)
  • Cheerful, energetic, caring, and passionate about working with children
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with children, parents, and team members
  • Positive learning attitude and self-motivation to continuously improve
  • Team player mindset
