Job Summary
You will teach CMA's abacus-mental programme to children, manage classrooms, prepare development portfolios, engage parents on progress, and support centre operations and events to foster a passionate learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver CMA's specially designed abacus-mental arithmetic programme to children to enhance their mental skills
- Coach children in a fun, stimulating, and engaging manner to maintain their interest and improve learning outcomes
- Manage all aspects of classroom operations to ensure a safe and productive learning environment
- Prepare and maintain development portfolios for each child to track progress and tailor coaching
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress to foster collaboration and support
- Assist in planning and organising student events to enrich the learning experience
- Support external projects such as roadshows and activities in childcare centres and kindergartens to promote CMA programmes
- Support daily Centre operations to ensure smooth functioning and a positive environment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma holder in any discipline or minimum GCE O Level qualification
- Cheerful, energetic, caring, and passionate about working with children of all ages
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin with children and parents
- Positive learning attitude and self-motivated to continuously improve
- Team player willing to collaborate with colleagues
- No prior teaching experience or knowledge of abacus/mental arithmetic required training will be provided
- Availability to work weekday evenings and Saturdays
