Our client is a leading global asset manager and is looking to appoint a Tax Director. This is a highly visible role, partnering closely with investment, legal, structuring, and regional finance teams, with exposure to senior stakeholders globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tax advisory and structuring support across global investment strategies
- Advise on fund and investment structuring, including SPVs, holding structures, and coinvestment vehicles across multiple jurisdictions
- Support the launch of new funds and products, including tax input on offering documents and investor structuring
- Assess and manage crossborder tax implications, including withholding taxes, permanent establishment risks, and transfer pricing considerations
- Partner with legal and external advisors on tax-efficient deal execution and postinvestment restructuring
- Monitor and interpret international tax developments (e.g. BEPS, Pillar Two, regulatory changes) and assess impact on the business
- Provide tax guidance to internal stakeholders, including investment teams, product, distribution, and senior management
- Support tax governance, risk management, and interaction with external advisors and authorities where required
Requirements
- 1015+ years of relevant tax experience gained in a global asset manager, private markets firm, investment bank, Big 4, or leading law firm
- Strong background in international tax, fund structuring, and investment tax advisory
- Hands-on experience with crossborder structures and multijurisdictional investments
- Exposure to private markets (PE, credit, real assets, infrastructure) strongly preferred
- Ability to operate in a commercial, dealdriven environment with multiple stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and comfort advising senior investment professionals
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CPA, CTA, ACA, LLM in Tax) advantageous
