Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance Management

  • Prepare and file corporate, indirect, and withholding tax returns, along with other statutory filings for funds and subsidiary entities.
  • Manage tax filings and reporting for Singapore, Hong Kong, US, and Germany, including withholding taxes on dividends, interest, and capital gains across APAC and US.
  • Monitor tax legislation changes and assess business impact.
  • Ensure compliance with global and regional tax reporting standards.
  • Collaborate with external advisors for country-specific requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks through proper documentation and process controls.
  • Support audits and tax inquiries by providing documentation and liaising with authorities.
  • Maintain a strong compliance framework to minimize penalties and disputes.

Process Improvement

  • Streamline and automate tax compliance processes for efficiency and accuracy, leveraging AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT).
  • Develop and implement best practices for tax reporting and compliance.
  • Work with fund administration and support teams to ensure accurate tax data management and reporting.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between external tax advisors and internal stakeholders to resolve compliance issues.
  • Provide tax compliance expertise for cross-functional projects.
  • Assist the Tax Director in delivering training sessions to enhance tax awareness within the organization.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CA, CTA) preferred.
  • 6-8 years of tax compliance experience, ideally with exposure to multi-jurisdictional tax matters in Asia.
  • Strong understanding of international corporate tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Prior experience in U.S. tax matters or exposure to Asia jurisdictions preferred.
  • Analytical: Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; able to explain complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and external advisors.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Integrity: High ethical standards and professionalism.
  • Independence: Ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proactive: Skilled at identifying and resolving tax issues.
  • Continuous Learning: Committed to staying updated on tax developments.
