Job Summary:
The Goalkeeper Coach is responsible for the technical and tactical development of all goalkeepers within the football team. This role involves designing and delivering high-quality training sessions, monitoring performance, and working closely with the coaching staff to integrate goalkeepers into the overall team strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver goalkeeper-specific training sessions that develop technique, positioning, distribution, communication, and decision-making.
- Conduct regular analysis of goalkeeper performances during matches and training using video and data.
- Develop individual development plans for each goalkeeper, tailored to their age, ability, and long-term goals.
- Provide regular feedback and performance reviews to goalkeepers.
- Assist in match preparation by analysing opposition threats and organising defensive strategies for set pieces.
- Work closely with the head coach and defensive unit to integrate goalkeeper strategies into team tactics.
- Monitor the physical, mental, and technical workload of each goalkeeper, collaborating with medical and fitness staff as needed.
- Ensure goalkeeper training aligns with the club's overall playing philosophy and development framework.
