Your Responsibilities
As a Tamil Preschool Teacher, you will contribute to a supportive and stimulating classroom environment while guiding children through their early learning and developmental journey.
- Plan and conduct engaging, age-appropriate Tamil language lessons in line with curriculum guidelines.
- Develop creative lesson activities, teaching aids, learning materials, and classroom resources to support children's learning.
- Create and maintain engaging learning spaces that encourage curiosity, exploration, and active participation.
- Observe, document, and monitor children's learning progress and developmental milestones.
- Provide attentive care and ensure children's safety, emotional well-being, and daily needs are supported.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with children through nurturing and meaningful interactions.
- Support daily classroom routines and complete relevant administrative duties.
- Participate in centre events, enrichment activities, educational outings, and other learning experiences.
- Establish positive partnerships with parents and the community to support children's holistic development.
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators to create a positive and enriching learning environment.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education - Teaching (DECCE-T) or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Able to conduct preschool lessons and communicate effectively in Tamil, as the role involves teaching Tamil to preschool children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Genuine passion for early childhood education and nurturing young learners.
- Caring, positive, proactive, and collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Candidates with a minimum Diploma qualification in another field and an interest in early childhood education may also be considered for an Assistant Childcare Educator position, subject to suitability.
