Tailoring Manager

ey Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily tailoring and alteration operations.
• Lead and coordinate tailors, seamstresses, and support staff.
• Handle customer measurements, fittings, and tailoring requirements.
• Ensure high-quality stitching, alterations, and garment finishing.
• Monitor production timelines and ensure timely completion of orders.
• Manage fabric, tailoring materials, and inventory levels.
• Inspect completed garments for quality and accuracy.
• Resolve customer concerns and provide excellent customer service.
• Train and guide tailoring staff on techniques and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of the tailoring workspace.
• Prepare operational reports and update management on workflow and performance.
• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors when required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in tailoring, garment alterations, or fashion production.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and sewing techniques.
• Ability to take accurate measurements and conduct fittings.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Experience in bridal, formal wear, or custom tailoring is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines efficiently.

Working Conditions

• 5.5 workday a week
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
