Data Analyst Requirements

• Focus on Tableau dashboard creation and basic SQL skills.
• No requirement for deep server administration or complex troubleshooting.
• Apache Spark is written in Scala programming language. PySpark has been released in order to support the collaboration of Apache Spark and Python, it actually is a Python API for Spark. In addition, PySpark, helps you interface with Resilient Distributed Datasets (RDDs) in Apache Spark and Python programming language.

Required Skills:

• SQL is mandatory
• Tableau
• Data optimization
• Dashboard customization
• Performance testing
• Pyspark or Spark

There will be three types of customizations:

1. Visual Customization: This includes Google Maps integration, refinement, and improving traffic visualizations, which will involve a lot of geometry.
2. Refinement: Fine-tuning how data is presented.
3. Performance Testing: Ensuring that dashboards with pie charts, which handle a lot of transactional data, perform well.

There will be significant data aggregation and optimization required.

Other Notes:

• CAT1 clearance is required.
• There may be a need to work over the weekend.
• These roles are contract-based for 1 year.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and participate in the gathering of requirements for the project.

Provide support to users, offering guidance on data visualization, reporting, and dashboard

functionality.

Advise on data optimization strategies and best practices.

Mentor and guide junior data analysts and developers.

Participate in the refinement of data sets as part of the transition from Phase 1 to Phase 2.

Customize Tableau dashboards for enhanced functionality, including visual customization

and performance testing.

Troubleshoot issues related to Tableau Server and optimize dashboard performance.

Conduct performance testing to ensure smooth functionality of dashboards with large

transactional data sets.

Ensure alignment with industry standards for dashboard development and data

visualization best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

4-7 years of experience in data analysis and dashboard development.

Strong experience with Tableau Server, including troubleshooting and performance tuning.

In-depth knowledge of SQL for data manipulation, optimization, and database interaction.

Solid understanding of data optimization techniques.

Proven experience with dashboard customization and performance testing.

Familiarity with industry standards for data visualization best practices.
