Our client is a fast-growing is a lifestyle-focused social media and e-commerce platform that allows users to share content (reviews, tips, and experiences) and discover products, especially in beauty, fashion, travel, and wellness.
They are looking a Policy Specialist to help shape and strengthen global content and community policies across international markets. This role focuses on managing emerging content risks, improving policy frameworks, and partnering across teams to support a safe, compliant, and sustainable platform ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine platform content and community policies to support user safety, platform integrity, and regulatory compliance across global markets.
- Convert policy direction into practical moderation standards, operational playbooks, and scalable governance processes.
- Partner closely with moderation, legal, product, engineering, and operations teams to drive policy alignment and effective implementation.
- Conduct policy impact assessments by reviewing enforcement outcomes, monitoring content trends, and identifying areas for continuous improvement.
- Stay informed on evolving industry developments, emerging online risks, and global policy practices to strengthen governance capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above; backgrounds in Law, Public Policy, International Relations, Communications, Sociology, or related disciplines are preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Trust & Safety, content governance, platform policy, risk management, or similar functions. Exposure to international or regional markets is advantageous.
- Strong English communication skills with the ability to operate effectively in an international working environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work across cultures and understand user behavior, content trends, and market differences across regions.
- Strong analytical thinking and sound judgment, with the ability to balance policy principles and operational practicality in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable working across multiple stakeholders and collaborating across time zones.
