Systems Engineer

As part of a highly skilled global engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and supporting the Linux-based infrastructure that powers a low-latency, high-performance trading platform operating across international datacentres and offices.

Day-to-day:

• Analyse, diagnose, and resolve complex Linux server issues
• Design, build, deploy, and maintain automated infrastructure solutions
• Develop and maintain system packages, scripts, and deployment tooling
• Identify opportunities to reduce latency and improve platform efficiency
• Manage infrastructure changes, upgrades, and configuration management activities
• Collaborate with internal technology teams and external vendors to deliver optimal solutions
• Contribute to long-term infrastructure strategy, scalability planning, and capacity management
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reliability

Requirements:

• Experience administering Linux/Unix environments
• Strong Linux systems engineering and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with kernel tuning and performance optimisation
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and services
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows
• Strong scripting skills, preferably Python
• Experience with server hardware and BIOS configuration
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

(Desirable Experience)

• MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
• HTCondor or large-scale compute cluster environments
• TeamCity, Keycloak, and Atlassian toolsets
• Exposure to low-latency, high-performance, or trading environments
