Responsibilities

  • Provide systems engineering, administration, and operational support for enterprise infrastructure and product environments.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux, UNIX, Windows, virtualization, storage, and container platforms.
  • Monitor systems, respond to alerts and incidents, and support incident, change, and problem management processes.
  • Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain operating systems, enterprise infrastructure, and applications.
  • Administer VMware environments, support OpenStack migrations, and maintain virtual machines for sandboxes, training, and issue reproduction.
  • Build, administer, and maintain OpenShift clusters and perform vulnerability remediation for Linux and Windows servers.
  • Support enterprise services including storage, virtualization, SQL Server, and shared platforms; experience with Oracle, IBM MQ, and IBM AIX is advantageous.
  • Develop automation scripts, perform system administration tasks, and manage system configurations across multiple environments.
  • Analyze system performance, enhance monitoring and alerting, and recommend improvements to reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors, maintain technical documentation, participate in on-call and maintenance activities, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of Systems Engineering, Systems Administration, or Infrastructure Engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Linux, UNIX, and Windows environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • VMware vSphere administration.
  • OpenStack virtualization platforms.
  • Red Hat OpenShift (on-premises) administration.
  • Enterprise storage technologies.
  • Scripting and automation (Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar).
  • System monitoring, logging, and performance management tools.
  • Microsoft SQL Server experience.
  • Oracle, IBM MQ, or IBM AIX experience.
  • Experience supporting infrastructure migrations and virtualization platforms.
