Systems Architect (Enterprise Resource Planning System)
In This Role, You Will
- System Design: Design and develop DSO's enterprise application architecture covering SAP S/4HANA and other applications. Advice senior management on key SAP S/4 HANA architecture decisions.
- Integration Design: Design and manage the integration of SAP S/4HANA with other enterprise applications, ensuring seamless data flow (secure, reliable and traceable) and system interoperability throughout the data lifecycle including the integration across different air-gapped networks. Establish SAP S/4HANA extensibility strategies, including in app and side by side extensions, to minimise core customisation and technical debt while meeting business needs.
- Performance Optimization: Design, monitor and optimize system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices for SAP solutions and other applications
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to gather requirements and provide tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
- Governance and Compliance: Design and implement controls related to SAP S/4 HANA and its peripheral applications to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards and regulatory requirements.
- Architecture Strategy & Roadmapping: Define and maintain the future state ERP and enterprise application architecture, including transition roadmaps from current to target state. Ensure architectural roadmaps are aligned with business priorities, delivery sequencing, and investment planning.
- Non Functional Architecture Design: Design non functional requirements including security, performance, availability, resilience, data protection, and operability across SAP and non SAP components.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Information & Computer Engineering/Information Communication Technology/Information Engineering/Information Science/Information Systems/Computer Science or any other related fields.
- Working knowledge in cybersecurity and data protection.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-driven and proactive in keeping up with new technologies
- Able to work both independently as well as with a team
- Around 10 years of experience in SAP solutions, with at least 4 years focused on SAP S/4 HANA full implementations in complex enterprise environments. Experience in on-premise implementation will be an added advantage.
- Around 5 years of experience in solution architecting. Experience in both on-premise and cloud-based system architecting are major advantages.
- Broad knowledge of enterprise IT technologies with an understanding of how SAP S/4 HANA integrates within a wider IT ecosystem, including middleware, databases, infrastructure platforms, security technologies and modern application architectures.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA modules, integration techniques, and data management practices. Experience and/or certification in modules to be implemented - HR, finance, materials management, logistics, sales & distribution major advantages.
- Strong knowledge in (a) Testing practices like Unit Testing, Security Testing, Load and Performance Testing, System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing (b) UX/UI Design (c) Waterfall/Agile Development Cycle
- Ability to analyze business needs and translate them into technical specifications, ensuring that solutions are integrated, scalable and secure.
