The Systems & Support Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end support of the company's maritime and subsea systems across deployment, integration, sustainment, and customer operations, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction
Key Responsibilities
Field Deployment & Technical Support
- Perform installation, commissioning, and acceptance of systems at customer sites
- Support field operations, trials, and mission deployments
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers
Systems Integration & Testing
- Integrate and configure subsystems including sensors, navigation, payloads, and software
- Perform calibration, validation, and system testing
- Support FAT/SAT and resolve integration issues with engineering teams
Lifecycle Engineering
- Monitor system reliability, availability, and maintainability performance
- Analyze failures and implement corrective actions
- Support maintenance strategies, spares planning and Logistics Support Analysis
- Contribute to obsolescence management and sustainment planning
Training & Customer Enablement
- Deliver operator and maintainer training
- Develop training materials, manuals, and SOP
- Support customer operational readiness
Continuous Improvement & System Governance
- Provide feedback to engineering for product improvement
- Support upgrades, retrofits, and root cause analysis
- Maintain system configuration control and documentation
- Analyze mission/system data to improve performance and operations
- Support safety, compliance, and risk management activities
Knowledge, experience and skills required
This role requires a broad-based background across engineering, marine, and related industries.
Candidates should possess the following:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or equivalent)
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in:
- maritime and/or subsea systems (e.g. vessels, AUV/UUV, diving systems)
- field service, system integration, or technical support
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Medically fit for offshore and shipboard operations
- Experience in design engineering or product developments is advantageous
