Were partnering with a global platform hedge fund to find a Systematic Macro Quant Researcher to join their elite trading team. The ideal candidate will harness quantitative methods to develop and enhance trading strategies within systematic macro frameworks, driving alpha across global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth strategy research, focusing on systematic macro and relative value opportunities across global markets (e.g., FX, rates, indices, commodities).
- Support idea generation by identifying actionable trading signals and market inefficiencies using quantitative techniques.
- Design, backtest, and refine trading models to ensure robustness and profitability, leveraging historical and real-time data.
- Implement strategies in collaboration with portfolio managers and traders, translating research into live trading systems.
- Utilize Python to build tools, analyze datasets, and enhance research workflows, from signal generation to risk assessment.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in quantitative research or trading, ideally within a hedge fund, prop trading firm, or top-tier bank.
- Demonstrated track record of developing successful systematic macro or relative value strategies, with measurable alpha generation.
- Strong proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience in data analysis, model development, and backtesting (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, or similar).
