Internship: Architecture Design Engineer (AI Chip Focus)
Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Architecture Design Engineer Intern to contribute to the design and exploration of AI hardware systems. This internship will provide hands-on experience in various aspects of AI chip architecture, including simulator usage, performance analysis, and understanding the interaction between hardware and software. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in computer architecture and AI hardware and be eager to learn in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in utilizing simulators (e.g., GEM5) to model AI chip behavior under different workloads.
- Support the analysis of simulation results to understand chip functionality and resource utilization.
- Learn about performance optimization concepts at the algorithm and architecture levels for AI tasks.
- Contribute to the exploration of front-end code and its interaction with AI chip architecture.
- Collaborate with hardware and software teams to understand the overall AI hardware development process.
- Assist in the creation of basic documentation and reports related to design explorations.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Foundational understanding of computer architecture concepts.
- Interest in AI hardware accelerators (e.g., GPUs, TPUs).
- Basic familiarity with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C/C++).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
