System Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced L2 Systems Admin to provide Windows and Network support at our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, with a focus on Windows systems and network administration. This role requires hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing IT systems to ensure smooth operations at our work sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2 support for Windows systems and network infrastructure at client work locations.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments
• Manage Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO), DNS, DHCP
• Perform patching, updates, and vulnerability remediation
• Administer services such as IIS, file servers, and print services
• Monitor system performance and event logs
• Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers
• Perform system hardening and security compliance (e.g., CIS benchmarks)
• Manage user access, permissions, and SSH controls
• Implement and manage enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, NetBackup, Commvault)
• Configure backup policies (full, incremental, differential)
• Monitor backup jobs and resolve failures
• Perform regular restore testing (file-level, VM-level, full system)
• Ensure compliance with retention and regulatory requirements
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and network issues.
• Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups.
• Monitor network performance and ensure network security aligned per the customer standards.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to implement and support IT projects.
• Document and maintain IT procedures and configurations.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Windows and network administration.
• Experience with network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to travel to client work locations as needed.
