Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours + 24×7 Support Standby
Salary: Up to S$5,000 Basic + 0.5 Month Completion Bonus + Up to 0.5 Month Performance Bonus

The Opportunity
We are looking for a System Engineer to support the implementation, maintenance and operational stability of critical systems at Changi Airport.
This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on Unix/Linux system support experience who enjoy troubleshooting technical issues, supporting system upgrades and working on project implementations.
You will work closely with internal teams, stakeholders and external vendors to ensure systems remain stable, secure and operational.
What You Will Do
- Perform routine system maintenance and ensure scheduled activities are completed on time.
- Support Unix/Linux operating systems and applications, including system monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Perform OS and application upgrades, patching and maintenance.
- Attend to system/application service requests and change requests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system, application and technical incidents.
- Work with external vendors/support teams to resolve complex technical issues when required.
- Investigate incidents and identify root causes, preventive actions and corrective measures.
- Prepare timely and professional incident, problem and technical reports for stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing system documentation and supporting ISO audit activities.
- Participate in new project implementation, including:
- Requirement gathering
- System setup and installation
- Configuration
- Testing
- Commissioning
- Post-implementation support
- Provide operational support and follow up proactively on outstanding incidents and issues.
- Participate in a 24×7 standby support roster when required.
What We Are Looking For
Must Have:
- Diploma or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in system/application support.
- Hands-on experience supporting Unix/Linux environments.
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- 24×7 standby support.
Good to Have:
- Experience with Microsoft Windows / Windows Server.
- Systems administration experience.
- Experience supporting applications running on Unix/Linux platforms.
- Exposure to databases and database-related troubleshooting.
- Experience with virtualisation / VM environments.
- Knowledge or certification in ITIL.
- Windows Server or Unix/Linux certification.
- Experience in system upgrades, patching, deployment or commissioning.
- Experience working with external vendors or technical support teams.
- Exposure to ISO audit and IT documentation requirements.
