System Engineer / System Administrator
Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting and managing enterprise-level operating systems, with expertise across Windows and Red Hat Linux environments on both physical servers and hypervisors. Candidates should demonstrate strong knowledge and hands-on skills in the following areas:

(a) Enterprise Operating System Management (Windows & Red Hat Linux)

• System configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Performance tuning and optimisation
• User and group management
• File system management and storage allocation

(b) Directory Services & Authentication

• Windows: Active Directory administration and Group Policy management
• Linux: LDAP and Kerberos configuration and management
• Domain Controller (DC) configuration and maintenance (Windows)
• Identity management solutions for Linux

(c) System Updates & Patch Management

• Windows: WSUS administration
• Linux: Red Hat Satellite or equivalent tools
• Planning and executing OS updates and patches

(d) OS Security Management

• OS-level security implementation (Windows & Linux)
• Timely application of security patches and updates
• OS hardening techniques

(e) System Monitoring & Management Tools

• Deployment and management of system monitoring agents
• Performance monitoring and troubleshooting using system management tools

(f) Automation & Scripting

• Windows: PowerShell scripting for automation
• Linux: Bash scripting and task scheduling

(g) Compliance & Auditing

• Implementing OS-level compliance standards
• Conducting system audits and generating compliance reports

(h) Virtualisation Technologies

• Familiarity with hypervisors and virtual machine management in Windows and Linux environments

(i) Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Familiarity with Commvault
• Implementing and managing OS-level backup solutions
• Designing and testing disaster recovery procedures

(j) Storage Technologies

• Familiarity with PureStorage
• Provisioning and managing LUNs

(k) Endpoint Backend Support

• Create and move hostnames into relevant OU groups in Active Directory
• Assign security group policies
• Push PXE Boot to endpoints
• Install Network Access Control (NAC)
• Software and patch management deployment to endpoints
