System Engineer (Network & Infrastructure)
- Salary Range: $3,400 - $3,900
- Working Days: 5 days, Monday - Friday
- Working Hours: 8.30am to 5.30pm
- Location: Jurong East (Toh Guan)
Responsibilities
- Identify, research, and develop suitable technologies to enhance and complement existing product solutions.
- Evaluate, test, and set up network equipment.
- Work with the Sales team to ensure tender proposals comply with required network specifications and review proposed system network designs and configurations.
- Work with Project Engineers in setting up and configuring system network components, including IP cameras, Storage Area Networks (SAN), servers, switches, routers, workstations, and other peripherals.
- Work with Service Engineers to identify and resolve network-related hardware and software issues.
- Manage office network administration, including the setup, maintenance, and security of network infrastructure.
- Manage office system administration, including servers, storage, and software applications.
- Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot IT issues.
- Support cybersecurity measures by protecting computer systems and networks from cyber threats, monitoring security risks, and implementing security controls.
Requirements:
- Possess a Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in a networking-based role.
- Good working knowledge of computer communication and networking (LAN/WAN architecture, network security, network hardware and software).
- Good working knowledge in setting up, testing and deployment of network equipment (routers & switches)
- Good fundamentals in deploying stable server setups, including NAS, SAN, and other IT-based equipment.
